Staff Tax Accountant

Family is at the core of who I am and has strongly influenced both my values and career path. Growing up, I was exposed to two very different career paths—my father working in the physically demanding airline industry and my mother working as a loan accountant. It didn’t take long for me to realize which direction felt right for me, and I naturally gravitated toward the accounting side. Graduating from Texas A&M University in 2024 with a degree in accounting has allowed me to see all paths that the finance side has to offer.

I’ve found that many people shy away from taxes because of its complexity, but I see that as an opportunity to learn and grow. Accounting roles are often viewed as pure number crunching or desk-bound work, but tax has allowed me to deliver a personalized experience and educate clients in ways that genuinely benefit them. I joined Summit in January 2026 with two years of tax preparation experience. I am committed to continued growth and to building lasting client relationships grounded in clarity, confidence, and exceptional service.

  • Outside of work, I like to go fishing which often leads to me coming back with a sunburn instead of a fish, watch my two favorite football teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M (next year is our year), and spend time by the water.
